Hi there, Welcome to The Tasty Chapter. My name is Anna and I’m the creator behind this blog. I’m happy to be here, creating and sharing my favorite recipes with you. Baking and cooking has always been a big hobby of mine, and after receiving so much positive feedback from family and friends, I decided to bring my passion to life! So, here I am, bringing you my favorite recipes, one delicious dish at a time.

I’m a self-taught cook and baker. I adore anything with lemon, coconut, walnuts, and chocolate. You’ll often find me in the kitchen, exploring new recipes and experimenting with different ingredients. I firmly believe that anyone can be an amazing cook with the right recipe and a few techniques up their sleeve. For me, cooking is more than just preparing a meal; it’s a form of self-expression and a beautiful way to share love with others. That’s why I’m so passionate about helping you discover the joy of cooking, guiding you with my favorite easy and delicious recipes, straight from my table to yours.

While dessert recipes might dominate my blog, I also include quite a few savory recipes and, I enjoy recreating and sharing old-fashioned dishes that remind me of my grandma. After all, who doesn’t enjoy grandma’s cooking?

The recipes are simple and easy to follow. There is a printable recipe card at the bottom of every recipe post. In the post itself, I like to expand on the recipe by giving tips, serving suggestions and related recipes and more.

A Little Bit About Me

I was born and raised in the beautiful landscapes of Poland. In my twenties, life took me to the lovely country of Canada, where I met my wonderful husband, Robert. Together, we built a beautiful life, raising two amazing children. I’ve always cherished the moments spent around the dinner table, serving up homemade comfort food and making memories with my family. Now, as empty nesters, my love for cooking and creating in the kitchen remains as strong as ever.

During my childhood years in Poland, the concept of fast food places was entirely foreign to us. In our active households and cozy kitchens, there was a tradition deeply ingrained in our culture: everything had to be made from scratch. It wasn’t just a practice; it was a way of life. The aroma of freshly baked bread wafting through the air and the sizzle of homemade dishes on the stove were the norm. It was in this environment that I learned the art of patience and the value of crafting every meal with care and dedication. In a world where instant gratification is often the norm, those childhood years instilled in me a profound appreciation for the authenticity and love that go into creating something from the ground up.

My love for baking and cooking has deep roots, and I believe it all traces back to my grandma. Her kitchen was a haven of warmth and delicious aromas, where I first discovered the joy of creating something extraordinary from simple ingredients. Every knead of the dough, every simmering pot, and every sprinkle of spice was an enchanting lesson in the art of cooking. I realized that more than just a skill, cooking was a way to weave emotions into food, to create memories that lingered long after the last bite. My grandma’s kitchen became my classroom, and her recipes, my guidebook.
