Ingredients
  

  • 250 ml kefir (1 cup natural plain) or substitute with yogurt
  • 5 dates pitted Medjool dates
  • 1 teaspoon cocoa powder
  • 1 cup of fresh baby spinach
  • 1 ripe banana peel and sliced
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black Cumin Seeds to sprinkle (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Begin by adding the kefir to the jar of a high-speed blender first, for easy blending. Then add the rest of the ingredients.
  • Once the ingredients are in the blending container, secure the lid and blend until the mixture is smooth - start blending on low speed and gradually increase to high.
  • Blend on high speed for 50-60 seconds or until the green smoothie is smooth. 
  • Pour the green smoothie into glasses, sprinkle with black cumin seeds (if desired) and serve immediately. Enjoy!
